PGI Whipstock System allows faster high-quality windows and side tracks tailored to the customers’ requirements.
Features, Advantages, and Benefits:
- Unique mating interface in Hinge System allows for a variety of anchoring devices to be utilized. Conversion Subs are available if required to allow customer-supplied devices to be attached to the system.
- Mill to Whipstock hook-up provides trouble-free shearing in either direction. All sheared components are completely retained, leaving no debris downhole.
- Hinge system allows 2-way movement which provides a flexible point when running through doglegs and ensures the Whipstock tip seats against the casing when set in deviated wells.
- Emergency Shear release feature in Hinge System ensures minimum components are left downhole. The emergency release load is fully adjustable.
- Assembly can be retrieved with a dedicated Retrieval Hook Assembly / Die Collar.

keyhole mill
PGI Keyhole Mill allows casing exits to be performed on standard steel casings in low to medium formations where a three to 15 feet rat hole is required.

- Mill space out for optimized window length to ensure that subsequent assemblies can be deployed and retrieved through the window without a problem.
- Utilizes the latest carbide technology for cost-effective performance.
- Mill Blade orientation ensures optimum cutting angle for inserts and cutting structure allowing for fast clean cut-out.
- Lead Mill design maximizes cutting structure engagement on the casing while minimizing the load on the Whipstock ensuring the casing is milled rather than the Whipstock.
- Same Mill Design can be used for Mechanical & Hydraulic set applications.
- A full range of standard mill sizes is available.
- One-off customer-specific sizes are available on request.

retrievable packer
PGI Hydraulic Expandable Anchor allows anchoring and Pressure Sealing of Whipstock Systems in casedhole applications.

- Slip design ensures Assembly is centralized correctly when set.
- Slips set before Element to ensure centralization before sealing of wellbore.
- Packing Element positioned above Slips avoids debris preventing slips from retracting during retrieval.
- Proven Packing Element Design ensures Pressure integrity.
- Setting pressure loads can be easily adjusted on site.
- Custom Configuration Calculation program ensures Packer is correctly configured to suit any application.
- Design ensures Packer cannot be accidentally set while running through restrictions or poor hole conditions.
- 2-Stage Straight pull Release. Stage 1 Equalises Pressure, Stage 2 Releases Assembly.
- Pressure Equalisation & Release load can be easily adjusted on site.
- Slip interface design allows high torque resistance through the Assembly.
- All Shear Pin components are retained. No debris is left downhole.
- Large Flow-By Area eliminates swabbing effect during retrieval.

Hydro-Mechanical Anchor
PGI Hydro-Mechanical Set Retrievable Anchor allows the Anchoring of Whipstock Systems in cased hole applications.
Features, Advantages, and Benefits:
- Hydraulic or Mechanical Set option in the same Assembly reduces inventory.
- Can be set mechanically by setting down on top of Bridge Plug or any other obstruction in the wellbore.
- Can be set hydraulically by applying drill string pressure.
- Setting & Release loads can be easily adjusted on site.
- All shear items are retained in Assembly. No debris is left downhole.
- Custom Configuration Calculation program ensures Anchor is correctly configured to suit any application.
- Bi-directional Slips allow secure anchoring & release without damaging the casing.
- Slip interface design allows high torque resistance through the Assembly.
- Slips are fully retracted below O.D. of the Assembly during retrieval.
- Simple design offers easy field redress.
- Utilises standard Pro-Grynd Whipstock Hinge Connector mating interface.
- Can easily be converted to Permanent Anchor type if required.

PGI Retrieval Die Collar allows Retrieval of Whipstock Systems in cased hole applications.
Features, Advantages, and Benefits:

- Internal thread matches thread on the top section of Whipstock eliminating the requirement to cut a thread while rotating onto the Whipstock.
- Can be supplied with plain bottom or with a cut lip guide.
- Can be supplied to suit specific Casing ID.

hook tool
PGI Retrieval Hook Assembly allows Retrieval of Whipstock Systems in cased hole applications.
Features, Advantages, and Benefits:
- One-piece main body increases strength and reliability.
- Built-in nozzles provide sufficient jet washing of retrieval hook slot in Whipstock.
- Custom Configuration Calculation program ensures nozzle selection is suited to any type of Orientation Assembly used in the retrieval BHA.
- Wedge-type design ensures hook tang is directed into and held firmly in hook slot in Whipstock.
- Lower face angle matches hook slot face in Whipstock to ensure hook does not fall out when setting down weight to re-set Jar Assemblies.
- Release from Whipstock is achieved by setting down the weight and rotating the drill string to the right.
